The Sporting Shooters Association Australia, Working Gundogs Association of Australia, and SSAA United Field and Retrieving Branch QLD (Inc) proudly present the 2019 SSAA WGAA Multi-Level Retrieving Championship for Gundogs.

Location

Our Multi-Level Championship will be held on the SSAA Grounds (Stewartdale), South Ripley. This trial site MUST NOT be revisited at any time after the Championship without the permission of the Nominee.

On completing our Online Entry Form, a mudmap with directions will be emailed to your chosen email address. If posting your entry, please include a stamped self-addressed envelope for directions to the trial site and camping area. Accommodation

Camping will be available at these SSAA Grounds from the morning of Friday 16th August 2019, until 9am Monday 19th August 2019. Toilet facilities will be provided at the trial site.

Entry Requirements

All entrants must be current financial members of Sporting Shooters Association of Australia and your dogs must be registered with WGAA. Registration information is available at ssaawgaa.com

An Intermediate Championship Stake is confined to Gundogs that have been placed in an Intermediate Stake or Test Stake or equivalent recognized stake.

An Advanced Championship Stake is confined to Gundogs that have been placed first in an Intermediate Stake or placed in an Advanced Stake or equivalent recognized stake.

An Open Championship Stake is confined to Gundogs that have been placed first in an Advanced Stake or placed in an Open Stake or equivalent recognized stake.

This Championship will be conducted under the Rules for the conduct of Retrieving Trials for Gundogs as approved by the Working Gundog Association of Australia. A copy of our rule book can be found at ssaawgaa.com

Entries, Fees and Forms

$45 per Entry. This entry fee includes a lunch pack and a drink each day of competition. (1 lunch pack per entry or, $30 per entry without lunch packs. Extra lunch packs can be ordered at $10 each)

Please make all payments to SSAA United Field and Retrieving Branch. Payments will only be accepted by Direct Deposit (BSB 124-066, Acc no. 20508140) , Cheques or Money Orders.

All postal entries, catering requests, and payments must be forwarded to The Secretary, 131 Ladies Road, Samsonvale QLD 4520.

Closing date for entries - Friday 28th July 2019.

Entries must be forwarded on the approved entry form, located on our website.

For confirmation and acknowledgement of entry, please forward a stamped self -addressed envelope.

Championship Event Format

Please find below preliminary information regarding the 2019 championship. This will be updated as the event draws closer.


Camping is available on the grounds from 9 a.m. Friday 16th August 2019 until 9 a.m. Monday 19th August 2019.


The draw for the running order of the Championship Trial will be conducted at the trial site, 7 p.m. Friday 16th August 2019. A sausage sizzle will be provided at this draw. Please BYO drinks.


Saturday 17th August 2019 (time permitting)

Intermediate - 4 Runs

Advanced - 4 Runs

Open - 5 Runs


Saturday 17th August 2019 - Championship dinner at the grounds hosted by ‘Coast to Coast the Golden Roast’, $30 per head, including starter, hot roast dinner, dessert, and tea/coffee (Payable with your entry).


Sunday 18th August 2019

Intermediate - 2 Runs

Advanced - 2 Runs

Open - 3 Runs


Sunday 18th August 2019 - Awards Presentation at the Trial Grounds - Light Refreshments will be provided. Please BYO drinks.


Event Catering


Friday Evening Draw

7 p.m. at the Stewartdale house, on the trial grounds. Sausage sizzle provided. Please indicate on your entry if you are attending.


Saturday and Sunday Workers Breakfast

Cereal/tea/coffee will be provided on Saturday and Sunday morning for the Championship workers. Judge's, stewards, workers and competitors will be provided a packed lunch and a drink each day. Competitors, this is included in your entry fee if you have selected a lunch pack. Please return to the UFR Shed to collect your lunch pack between 11:30 and 12:30 each day. There will not be any catering available for sale at the trial site for visitors. There is a variety of good takeaways at a supermarket at Ripley if you require further refreshments.


Saturday Evening Dinner

We will be offering a sit-down roast dinner at the grounds on Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m at the Stewartdale house. The cost for the evening meal is a very reasonable $30 per head (catered by Coast to Coast the Golden Roast) and this will include a starter, roast dinner, dessert and tea/coffee. Please RSVP for this dinner by Friday 26th July 2019. Please provide your own drinks.


Sunday Awards Ceremony

At the conclusion of the Championship our trophy presentation will be held at the Stewartdale house, on the trial grounds. Light refreshments will be provided. Please provide your own drinks.


Some fine print…

The Committee reserve the right to change a contracted Judge should it become necessary. The field may be divided and the running order will be split numerically. This decision will be at the discretion of the Committee. Photos will be taken at the event and may be used in the promotion of our sport. If you do not wish for any photos of yourself to be used please advise the secretary in writing prior to the event.
